Bought some inexpensive salmon.. woke up feeling weird?

Ok I know I shouldn't have bought the inexpensive salmon... but it was at cub foods which i haven't gotten bad stuff from before. So next time I will go somewhere else for salmon... HOWEVER we eat it and it was just ok not the best quality... and we woke up feeling really grogy, feeling almost drugged. After a shower I felt a little better but I just feel all over tired when I swear I got a good nights sleep. My boyfriend feels the same way except he didn't feel better after a shower he still about 19 hrs later still feels out of it. Could there have been a higher amount of mercury in the cheap salmon? What can he do to feel better if that is the case? We have tickets for lion king tonight :) that he have been waiting to go to for sooo long and it will suck if he still feels like this during the show. Any tips will be great :)

Yes, you can split the output as you've described. It won't affect the internal amplifiers built into the sub or speakers. Technically, it will put more strain on the macbook's line output circuit, but I don't think it will cause any problems.

Will two 12" Audioque Hdc copper coil subs give me more spl/bass than my single 15" Alpine Type R?? HELP!?

Which amp should i get?

There both good amps however i would go with Polk all the way. I have a 1200.1 amp from them and it is an absolute monster. I have not found a single problem with that amp and I'm pushing 2 Polk audio 12" SR subs. Kenwood is a good brand also but part of the fun of making my system was to get pieces most people don't, therefor i decided to go Polk with everything because their hardly seen around. Between the two you posted the Kenwood may perform better because it's rated 120 watts higher than that Polk amp and Polk doesn't make a 1000 watt amp, it goes up to 1200 watts, so you would go up a lot in price. So for price and what you might need to power your woofers Kenwood may be a Cheaper way to go about it but if you look around a bit you may find cheaper prices online. For example i found both of the amps you posted for about $100-130 on another site that i know is completely reliable to buy from. Another thing i did was compare reviews when i was first deciding what to get for my system so you may want to go to different sites where people have bought those different amps and see what they have rated and said about the products. For those saying Polk isn't as good only because they haven't been around as long are dumb in my opinion. Your right, being that Kenwood did start in 1946 and Polk in 1972 but to think that makes a difference is a joke. I doubt they made a big head start with technology from starting in 1946... Basically, the 26 years Polk was not there did not effect what there making today. Polk quality is superior to many in my opinion and thats why I would go with them.

ok so with most subs if they are listed at 700 rms, if they have a steady 700 going into them they will not sound as good, they might even blow depending on how well theyre built. but here if what i would do, i would get a 1000 watt amp and go from there, i think that would push them nicely. i have 2 pioneer competition subs, that are 12s and theyre rated at 1200 watt rms and 2000 peak, i have 800 watts going to them, and theyre bridged, they beat so hard i shake nearby cr windows and mirrors, but also dont have to worry about alot of feedback from speakers either, hope i helped good luck

Why can't my subwoofer properly play back super-low sub bass tones?

I have a $200 polk subwoofer hooked up to a modern Onkyo receiver autoconfigured with that Audyssey MultEQ or whatever blabla stuff. However, when my system plays songs with maybe 30-50 hz sweeps, the subwoofer goes off the deep end and starts clicking and it overall fails to properly reproduce these sounds. What's wrong? I think it has something to do with whatever those things are called low pass filter? I'm sure my expensive sub can play low bass right but something's janked up with the settings

Because of the size of your room and the wattage you are using I would get the largest most efficient speakers you can afford..personally I would prefer Bookshelf speakers or floor standing speakers to in wall units due to flexibility... in wall speakers once placed there is not too much you can do to tweak them...bookshelf speakers can be towed in towed out moved a couple of inches to the right or left...you would be surprised what just a little movement like that will have on the quality of the sound they produce...also they can be upgraded at a later date...

The problem I am having is I cannot find them anywhere, mostly because I can't remember their name. My three local Cub Foods Managers have all told me they remember the product, but not the name. I am think of doing a wolf and wolf cub either both howling at the moon and have them both tribal with a tribal moon and stars. I was going to have a star for each letter of her first name and each star would be tribal with the letter hidden in it and the moon would be tribal with the second name rae hidden inside it. But I was also thinking instead just the father could be howling and the baby curled up at his feet or they could both be nuzzling each other or the father could be howling up at the moon and the baby be curled up on top of the moon symbolizing that she is far away because right now they are in different states. But im not sure if he would like this or not. Can someone please tell me your ideas of how you think i should do it and what I could add to it or if i should change it completely and use a totally different animal or way of doing. I'm sure the polks did blow the alpine away because there's two of them and they are 2" bigger. I would use the Kicker or the Alpine mainly because they are name brand. The bigger companies subs last a whole lot longer and sound better (my opinion). I had 2 10" Pioneers in my truck with a dual 750 Pioneer amp (1500 total). I traded up to get 12" Pioneers and the same amp. It hits great. I recommend pioneer but since you don't have that there I would say the Kicker.

Polk PSW110 good for a big party?

I would recommend a professional type subwoofer. Those home theater subwoofer are not designed for a very large area. Best Buy with a musical instrument department should carry them. Look at a JBL or maybe a Peavey system. They are designed for large room and the bass speaker are designed for long throw. Hope this will help you out.

Car audio and dying battery?

you probably just need to switch out the stock car battery with one that has more cranking amps, i had the same problem with my truck awhile ago. while i would be driving on the road my truck would shut off on me then i would have to shut my system off just so i can start my truck back up, so i just went to autozone and got a battery with 1000 cranking amps so it can support the aditional power that my system has. the battery i got was around 120 bucks which is expensive for a battery but it solved the problem for sure.

woah woah woah.... hey there buddy, MTX is a very good name brand. my whole audio system is MTX, and ill tell u what, they take anything you throw at them. they are very durable subs. i would go with the MTX simply because the quality is way higher than polk audio subs, and after time, you will be able to know the difference... i have speakers rated for only a couple hundred watts, and i just put an amp on them that was rated 1000w rms (MTX jackhammer amp) and they handled it with barely any distortion. i just wish i had the money to buy the amp from the guy. so, i would definetly go with that MTX setup.... and maybe later get a bigger amp.

Center channel speaker and stereo old receiver?

No. Do not jump the two speaker outputs. It could result in a room full of smoke. Now, there is another procedure that is a bit less risky although I have to tell you that there is some risk. Connect the + for the left channel to one of the speaker wires for the center channel and the - for the right channel to the other center channel speaker wire. It doesn't matter which speaker wire. The + speaker wire into the left + and the - speaker wire into the right + or the reverse will work equally well. This will give you what is in effect left minus right. It's not a true center channel surround sound but it works. Ive done it and none other than Brian Eno recommended this procedure for his "Ambient" series of recordings well before surround sound came out. As I said, it's not without risk but it is safer if the receiver is rated to power 4 Ohm speakers and you are using 8 Ohm speakers. But this procedure is intended to be used with three speakers. Left, right and the "Ambient" or center channel. I can't say exactly how loudly a single speaker will play this way or if it will be a safe thing to do. If nothing else, you should get yourself a cheap pair of 8 Ohm speakers to use as left and right.

Why do I have these plugged ears? ?

About 3 weeks ago, I got a really bad cold that included a stuffy nose, sore throat, and cough. I might've had a fever as well since I had chills. The strange part was that my left ear plugged up and that had never happened to me before. I went to the doctor's and she said that my cold should clear up. She said that it looked like I may have been starting an ear infection though and if symptoms persisted, I should take antibiotics. The next morning I started the antibiotics for 10 days. A few days later my ear unplugged but then my other ear plugged and I was shocked. I don't know if this is normal. My cold took a really long time but it got better. However, I went on my 6 hour flight to jersey and the flight was terrible. My ears kept clogging up and it sounded like a vacuum just sucking shut multiple times. It was painful and I couldn't hear. When I got out of my flight I was fine. But now, I'm starting to feel a slight stuffy nose and sore throat again and my right ear has been plugged up for days now. I don't know what's wrong and it's really annoying. Shouldn't the antibiotics have worked? Will this ever go away? Please help!

How would you plug a 3.5mm cord into a polk psw10 subwoofer?

I have that exact subwoofer. What I did was used two separate outputs from my sound card to the satellite speakers and subwoofer. Then I used the crossover setting of my soundcard to separate the high frequency from the low frequency (I set it at 85hz, the cutoff for my AV 40s).

A/V receiver for Polk RM 6750?

Well I know that others will argue this point but I usually like to over-power a speaker's wattage rating rather than under power it. This is because under-powering often produces clipping which damages speakers. I can't tell you how many tweeters I have replaced because of this. However It's difficult to figure out exactly how much power the Polk 6750's satellite speakers will handle from the specifications. The subwoofer has a built in 50 watt amp so it seems pointless to use a receiver with more power than the subwoofer's amplifier as most of the power is in the bass frequencies. The satellites are tiny, with a 3" "woofer" and a 1/2 inch tweeter. I can't imagine that they will handle much more than 50 watts. So given that, a receiver with around 65 watts should suffice. Marantz, Onkyo, Yamaha, Pioneer and Denon are the preferred brands of receivers for this kind of application.

I was reading a review on a pair of 4'' speakers i wanted to get in addition to other upgrades i'm making on my cars stereo system, and they recommended bass blockers. I was wondering if anyone could let me know if i'm gonna need them. I'm gonna buy the: JVC KD-HDR60 Receiver, 2 pairs of 6.5'' Pioneer TS-A1684R, and either the Alpine SPS-400 or Polk Audio db401. I was thinking that either of the 4'' speakers will be fine without the bass blockers cause the receiver goes to a max of 50 Watts and the speakers cruise at 45 watts RMS. Any opinions on the possible situation, or any ideas or recommendations on my future speaker setup.

My streak was at 11 before today. I picked Starlin Castro on the Cubs who played a double header against the giants. He went 1-9 today in both games combined. However it says my streak is at 0 when it should be at 12. Under my results it says he went 1-9 too. Delta is the worst one I have been on. We just got back from vacation and both the leaving flight and the return flight had mechanical problems causing 3 hour delays. They didn't have the courtesy to announce what was going on. We just saw a delay message and a gate change flash up on the monitor. They waited so long to post a gate change that we had to Run from Concourse A to Concourse B in Atlanta. If you have been to Atlanta you know that is a pretty long run. I will NEVER fly Delta again even if I have to pay more and have less direct flights.

Polk Audio Boat Tower Speakers not working?

I just recently bought a used Super Air Nautique 230 with just under 100 hours. It has four tower speakers and a 12" sub custom installed from the previous owner. Today i was listening to the sound system and I noticed that two of the tower speakers were not working. I check the connections at the amp and they were connected. I am getting sound out of the stock sound system as well as the sub, but only two of the four tower speakers are working. Any ideas??

My boyfriend left for another country to vacation with a good female friend of his, should I be worried?

I replaced my 1997 toyota 4runner factory door speakers over the weekend with polk audio 6.5(front) 5.25(rear)?

Its nothing you did wrong. The speakers from 14yrs ago, they are made from different materials than what the ones we use, are these days. So there will be a sound difference and less bass coming out. So you might have to add a sub..but did you get the 2-way or 3-way speakers? Those will produce different bass levels and overall sound quality too. Something to look at.

Where do I place my center channel speaker?

I am forced to have my 6 speakers (2 front wide, and 4 surround) near the top of the wall but all are pointed at my seating area. I am able to have my center channel anywhere from right above my TV or up level with all of my speakers. Should the center be placed as low as possible? Or as level as possible with the other speakers? The center channel is being placed on a flat shelf so I will not be able to level it at all. Center channel speaker is the Polk Audio CS2 and my surround speakers are Acoustech PL-66's.

My son was diagnosed with infantile autism back in august. We decided to not request compassionate reassignment so that I could deploy. When the efmp paperwork finally showed up, we found that no care for autism exists in the fort polk area. So the only answer is a compassionate. Yes, get your pilot certs separately and go for the computer science degree. If flying doesn't work out as a career, you'll need a backup plan. It could also help you pay for flight training. Going to college for flying does not give you an edge. that is simply propaganda that aviation colleges want you to believe. I know, I did that much to my regret (got an aviation degree). Flight time and experience is what counts, not where you learned to fly (except possibly for military training). However, you don't want to take flying lessons "every month or so", you want a steady program of lessons, especially for the PPL and Instrument ratings. Take 2 lessons per week minimum, but it is est every day or every other day, so plan on doing training during your long summer breaks or every weekend. If you don't fly often enough it will take longer and cost more, guaranteed. After you get your PPL, you should fly at least once a month to stay reasonably current, and the answer is yes, you should be able to rent a plane near your college. Some colleges even have flying clubs. If you're clever, you'll figure out how to combine computers and aviation.

Imagine my surprise when I was called a stuck-up, racist b-word by Kane's mother, who then promptly started telling everyone that I made my daughter break up with her son because he is black. 2003 Saab with Alpine head power... no sound?

2003 9-3 saab convertible with alpine head and speaker amps (polk). I bought this car with this aftermarket gear in it. Just trying to get sound out of the head unit. I bought th metra 70-1784 harness and hooked it up properly. Head has power but no sound. I now found speaker amps under the front seat. How to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.?

I am a high school junior and am doing some research on careers. I live in Florida, and the college that I am really interested in is the University of Florida (GO GATORS.!). I have narrowed down my choices, and my number one choice is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. I understand they need an MSN. But how does that work? Do they go to just about any college (university or community college) they want, and get just a regular bachelors degree and an RN license, then take a break and work at a hospital for 2 years, THEN go to a university that offers a Masters degree program for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. If that's all correct, does the Master's Degree program have to be at the same college that you got your Bachelor's? Or can it be a totally different school? For example, can I get my bachelor's degree in nursing at Polk State College, work at Lakeland Regional Medical Center as an RN, then go to the University of Florida to do the Master Degree for Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program? Or do I have to spend all of that time at the University of Florida?

So my sister and I are going to go in on a ticket to alaska for late July, we plan on buying the ticket in about 3-4 days. I am 15 and the ticket price as of now is $638. Which subs should i buy?

Most people will say kicker, but kicker IS good if you want a lot of bass but kickers are NOT clear and are just loud and disorted. the cleanest clearest best one you listed is the alpine typr r. I LOVE alpine and that amp would rock your car amazingly and clearly. The MTX us a good system but its nto worth that much, the polk is good but not as good as the alpine. that one alpine with 1000watts is probaly louder deeper and clearer then both the polks together. so to sum it up the MTX isnt worth it. the polk's arent the best deal but are decent. the kickers are the loudest but are distorted and not clear. the alpine is the clearest and deepest and hits pretty hard too and youll never find a deal that good for that cheap again.

There is two books that are amazing. They arent a series but they are really really good. And i hate reading, but i love these books so much. The first book that is really good and will keep you interested and will want you to keep flipping pages is Kissing Snowflakes by Abby Sher. Another AMAZING book is called The Outsiders by S.E Hinton. The Outsiders is really good, and near the end it will leave you crying. It is another book that wants you turning pages. Give them a look, you wont regret reading them! I even got the manliest guy at my school to read them and he loves them. He said that the outsiders even made him sob a bunch of tears, and he ended up reading Kissing Snowflakes 12 times.

Cubs fans: Does Mike Quade moving Starlin Castro to the #3 spot piss you off?

Let's face it, he's been bad as a #3 hitter this year. .245 average! He's hit .369 as the leadoff hitter, and .375 as the #2!! Yet Quade keeps trying to put him back at #3(as he's done the last 2 games), and he continues to struggle there. Why does he do this? Does Quade not realize that Castro is a #2 hitter at this point in his career? What is wrong with this idiot? It really pisses me off that he can't just put Castro in one spot and leave him there.

What Amp do you suggest?

Although the M2000 will give you about 800 watts RMS power more than the PDX, the M12 will be much more efficient, and obviously it has a much smaller footprint. I like the PDX series amps, and personally find Alpines Vpower amps to be 'power hogs' and not incredibly efficient. Those are both great amps, but I think honestly, the M2000 would be overkill on those subs. I would go with the M12, or a JL 1000/1. The JL amp is the best amp out there in my opinion. 1000 watts regardless of what impedance you're running (just like PDX), tons of controls to fine tune how your sub plays frequencies, and quality signature to the JL line. You will have much more control over your sub with that amp, as you can select the bass boost frequency, the amplitude of the boost, a selectable 24db slope, and even the Q bandwidth. The M12 is my second favorite amp. Don't touch Hifonics, they are nowhere near as good as either Alpine or JL. HOpe this helps.
