How many watts can my subs take!?

oookay. i have two 10" polk audio mm1040 subs. and i currently pushing it with a 1200 watt panasonic 2 channel amp.it sounds clean but!, how many watts can i add so that i dont burn them? . and what brand do you recomend.?
