How would you plug a 3.5mm cord into a polk psw10 subwoofer?

I have that exact subwoofer. What I did was used two separate outputs from my sound card to the satellite speakers and subwoofer. Then I used the crossover setting of my soundcard to separate the high frequency from the low frequency (I set it at 85hz, the cutoff for my AV 40s).
